This design is based on a modern day supermarket / food storage complex using a compressor rack system. We designed the system around three separate cooling systems. Plant room one services 50% of the finished goods area, blast chiller and the chiller. Plant room two services 50% of the finished goods area, cooked fish and raw fish chillers, blue tubs chiller and raw ingredients. The stand alone aircooled chiller circulates chilled water / glycol to the package room, filling lines, factory area and the fish factory. The system features some great advantages such as all of the condenser fans being variable speed which allows the system to adjust automatically to varied ambient conditions. Also, all evaporators are fitted with a valve station which means if maintenance is required it does not affect the work place operation and secondly, you have more redundancy in the event of any failure.
Chiller System
A packaged chiller supplies chilled water / glycol mix to all four 12°C areas. This chiller has heat recovery and is capable of supplying 40 kW of 45°C hot water. This can be used for make-up water to an existing hot water system. The cooling side of the chiller services the package room, filling lines, factory area and the fish factory. The entire system is linked to a plant watch system which takes care of alarms and temperature data logging. The plant watch also has provision for the use of a USB for easy downloads.
Fresh air systems are fitted to the above rooms. In rooms with positive pressure, two fans and filters are fitted with a total air quantity sufficient for the occupancy and pressure requirement.
